Issue Position

Public education is under attack by the Republican controlled legislature of North Carolina. The budget slashes jobs and opportunity. Education is the best means we have to compete in a global economy and we need the children of NC to have the best chance to lead the economy. Small class sizes, great teachers, and support by excellent administrators can make the world change needed. Jobs are a direct result of this effort both immediately by rehiring those who have been laid off and by creating the opportunities through creative teaching and instruction.
